Surge in Alabama Coronavirus Cases

The daily coronavirus count in Alabama hit a new high on Thursday. The state health department reported 850 new cases. There was no immediate word on why cases are spiking. But some experts say the protests could be a factor. "We certainly want to remind people that while they are exercising their right to peacefully assembly, that people need to be very aware of socially distancing," Assistant State Health Officer Dr. Karen Landers said.
