A Hoover house fire has been ruled arson. The fire was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 5400 block of Scout Trace Lane in the Trace Crossings subdivision. Investigators say surveillance video captured the image of a masked man spraying accelerant on the back porch of the home, and setting it on fire. The family's dog was killed.
