Accused Tuscaloosa Cop Killer Sent to Jail

The accused killer of a Tuscaloosa police officer was released from a hospital, and sent to jail Friday. Luther Watkins is charged with capital murder in the killing of Officer Dornell Cousette, 40. "I didn't shoot nobody," Watkins said, in response to a reporter's question, as he was walked to a patrol vehicle outside the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office. He was bound in Cousette's handcuffs. Watkins will be held on no bond. The funeral service for Cousette is scheduled for noon Sunday at Shelton State Community College.
