Alabama's Palmer Blasts Dems on Trump Tweets

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) Tuesday announced that he will vote against the Democrats' resolution condemning President Donald Trump's tweets. Palmer called the president's comments "ill-timed and insensitive." But Palmer maintains that the tweets "are not racist as the socialist Democrats have hypocritically claimed." Palmer said: "The hypocrisy is glaringly apparent when you consider that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) recently tweeted, 'This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants,' and that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) recently tweeted that support for Israel was ‘all about the Benjamins.’ Palmer called on the House to return to addressing the issues of concern to Americans, adding, "We have not been elected as the social media police."
