Child Rescued from Hot Car in Birmingham

A child Tuesday was rescued after being left in a hot car on Birmingham's Southside, police said.   Officers were called to the 700 block of 32nd Street South, where they found the 4-year old boy in the back seat of a car.   A passerby alerted authorities.   The child was checked out, and determined to be OK.    Investigators say the mother mistakenly thought he had exited the vehicle along with his siblings, as they were dropped off at daycare.     The child was in the car for about an hour, police said.
