Illegal Aliens Charged with Drug Trafficking

Five illegal aliens are charged in a major drug trafficking investigation.    The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the five were arrested during a pair of raids in the Birmingham area.   Authorities say they seized more than $900,000 worth of marijuana, cocaine, and meth.   Investigators also confiscated nearly $100-thousand dollars in cash, along with  guns.   State trooper Chuck Daniel says some of the suspects had been removed from the country, only to return.    "There were three suspects that had previously been deported, due to felony charges," state trooper Chuck Daniel said.   "So their reentry ... was an aggravated reentry, which are federal charges."  The suspects are being held without bond.
