Disgraced former Gov. Robert Bentley moved out of the Governor's Mansion Friday, days after he resigned. Moving vans showed up at the governor's mansion, to haul away Bentley's belongings. Bentley told the Montgomery Advertiser he was "happy," adding "a heavy load has been lifted." "It's a time in your life there are periods in time our life where we serve. When it's over, you move on. That's what we do," Bentley said. "I think that I just felt that the state needed and the people needed to be relieved." State Auditor Jim Zeigler says he's preparing to do an exit audit on the mansion, the governor's office, and the state-owned, newly renovated Governor's beach mansion in Gulf Shores. Zeigler says he also wants to located "Wanda's desk," which played a noteworthy role in the scandal. It was used by the governor's secretary Wanda Kelly. In a recorded phone call, Bentley was heard telling senior political adviser and alleged mistress Rebekah Mason the desk would have to be moved, if "we are going to do what we did the other day." Zeigler said his audit will "seek to locate Wanda's desk and reconstruct what happened to it."
