Gov. Kay Ivey Thursday issue a statement of support for Texas, as the state heads for a showdown with the Biden administration over the border crisis. "Texas, you can count on Alabama to have your back," Ivey posted on X. As illegal immigrants cross the border in record numbers, the governor said Texas and other states have "stepped up," but the White House "is purposely absent. " The Supreme Court this week ruled the administration could remove razor wire placed by Texas along the border. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says the state will continue installing the wire. Ivey last fall deployed 275 National Guardsmen to the border to assist Texas with the massive wave of illegal immigrants.
