Storm Damage in Irondale

There are reports this morning from storm damage in Leeds and Irondale.

WERC's news and weather partner WBRC First Alert Meteorologist Wes Wyatt reported Sunday night that damaging wind gusts or an isolated tornado were possible if a severe storm were to develop.

Jefferson County EMA says the damage was minimal, adding there was a special weather statement out at 2:30 a.m. from the NWS for winds over 40 mph. The EMA is sending an employee out shortly to check the area out to make sure there aren’t any other areas with damage.

There were no calls overnight regarding damage, according to the Jefferson County EMA.
