Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.) Thursday praised President Trump's decision withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate accord. Strange says "it puts the U.S. one step closer to relief from the burden of anti-growth, job killing regulations in the Clean Power Plan." Strange calls the accord a "wet-blanket of over-regulation." Last month, Strange and other senators signed a letter urging withdrawal from the agreement. The president said the accord was a bad deal for America, that would cost American jobs, and do little to protect the environment. "I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris," Trump said.
