Suspect in Hoover Murder Trial Testifies

Dramatic testimony Monday, in the trial of a teenager charged with murdering Hoover veteran Mike Gilotti.  The accused killer, 17-year old Charleston Wells, took the stand in his own defense, claiming co-defendant Ahmad Johnson pulled the trigger as the M-Tre street gang broke into cars in the neighborhood last year.  But another co-defendant -- Darrian Bryant -- testified for the prosecution, and identified Wells as the killer.    Gilotti's widow Heather also testified, saying she heard a loud gunshot outside their home,  then heard her husband cry out for help.   Mrs. Gilotti said she performed CPR.  She said  their 5-year old son called out for his father, who lay dying, asking God to forgive his sins.
