Palmer: Paid Protesters Disrupting Town Halls

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) blasted the disruptions at congressional town hall meetings around the nation, charging that professional provocateurs are to blame.    "There are mercenaries, who are being paid to protest, there's a place where you can go to sign up," Palmer said in an interview with News Radio 105.5 WERC.    Palmer says there are organized efforts to create chaos during the meetings.   "There's a group that started out as ACORN, that became 'Organizing for America,' that is now called 'Organizing for Action,' they're training 25,000 disrupters," Palmer said.    "You've got this group 'Indivisible' out there, the 'Resist' movement.   Palmer was scheduled to hold a town hall Saturday morning at 9, at Hoover City Hall.   "There are some people who have legitimate concerns about the Trump administration ... and I'm happy to answer their questions, particularly constituents," Palmer said.
